Help children like Chance and Cadence!

Chance, 5 years old, and his sister, Cadence, 3 years old, are currently being studied at the Heart Institute at Rady Childrens Hospital. At the age of 13 months, Chance was diagnosed with an Atrial Septal Defect (a hole between two chambers of the heart) and an irregular heartbeat. Chance underwent open-heart surgery to repair the large hole in his heart and implant a pacemaker. Cadence, born four weeks premature, was diagnosed with Shone's Complex, a very rare form of congenital heart disease and Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. She has already undergone three open-heart surgeries, one closed-heart surgery, seven cardiac catheterization procedures and requires a pacemaker. Today, because of advances in research and technology, Chance and Cadence live with the hope of long and healthy lives ahead of them. Your gift today will help kids like Chance and Cadence.
